Open House: A Celebration of Care Returns to Palm Desert
Alzheimer’s Coachella Valley (ACV) will host its annual Open House: A Celebration of Care on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Berger Foundation Charitable Center in Palm Desert.
This year’s gathering will honor Edwina Dirk, RN, BSN, recipient of the 4th Annual Chuck Olsen Caregiver Award, recognizing her dedication and compassion in serving families impacted by Alzheimer’s and other cognitive impairments.

The evening will be hosted by Patrick Evans and will feature live music by Phillip Pollerana, lite fare provided by community partners, and complimentary valet parking.
More than just a celebration, the event is also an important fundraiser. ACV has set a goal of raising $200,000 to support its free programs for Valley families. Thanks to a generous donor, the first $10,000 raised will be matched, doubling early contributions.
“Don’t miss this chance to support our community,” organizers said, emphasizing the critical need for resources that provide dignity, hope, and care to those living with Alzheimer’s.
Guests are asked to RSVP by October 17. For reservations or donations, visit cvalzheimers.org or call (760) 776-3100.
