SHOW YOUR HEART

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — The Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce invites the Coachella Valley community to connect with more than 50 nonprofit organizations at the Show Your Heart Mixer on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Rancho Mirage Library & Observatory.  Admission is free, thanks to the venue’s sponsorship.

The event offers opportunities to discover local services, meet nonprofit leaders and find meaningful ways to give back.

“After the pandemic, I kept hearing from our local nonprofits about how much they needed support, visibility and connection,” said Katie Slimko-Tuvell, IOM, president and CEO of the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce. “That’s why we created Show Your Heart. But this event has grown into something much bigger. It’s a chance for our entire community to discover the organizations that are serving our neighbors every single day—and to find your own way to be part of that work.”

Businesses can explore sponsorships, board or committee service, employee volunteer days and long-term partnerships. Individuals can discover causes they care about, volunteer, donate or learn about resources for themselves and loved ones.

Slimko-Tuvell said nonprofit leaders have shared concerns about difficult financial decisions, including how to make payroll.

“These are organizations we cannot take for granted,” she said.

All nonprofit booth spaces are fully committed to chamber members. An opportunity drawing/raffle is also planned.

Come meet the people doing the work, learn about the causes they champion and find a place to give your time, talent or treasure.

“Every organization has a story. Every organization has a need. And every one of us has something we can give,” Slimko-Tuvell said.
