Golden Tickets Open PCT’s 29th Season
Palm Canyon Theatre is unwrapping its 29th season with a sweet delight: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, running October 3–12, 2025, in Palm Springs. The Broadway adaptation blends new songs with classics like “Pure Imagination”and “The Candy Man,” bringing Roald Dahl’s iconic tale to life.
Desmond McLeod stars as Charlie, alongside Scott Clinkscales as the enigmatic Willy Wonka. The golden ticket winners—Augustus Gloop (Vito Orlando), Veruca Salt (Fiona Sarchett), Violet Beauregard (Kathleen Atkins), and Mike Teavee (Steffon Martindale)—add plenty of mischief, joined by a lively ensemble of 41 performers, including young talents from PCT’s Summer Kids Camp.
Directed by Se Layne with musical direction by Chuck Peery and choreography by Tegr Powell, the production promises spectacle, humor, and heart. Evening shows are Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $20, available at palmcanyontheatre.org or 760-323-5123.
